Bad training can make the
best horse look terrible;

good training can make
the average horse a
star.

K.A. von Ziegner
Training starts with a simple evaluation.  We want
to know what your horses knows and how it
responds to our techniques.

As a trainer, I like to keep in mind traditional
Walking Horse training but steer clear of any
concept that would create fear or cause harm to
your horse.  I can get your horse to work much
harder if it trusts me so I employ time tested
dressage techniques into my training regimen.

Believing in "preventative maintenance",  I keep
my horse's toe length around 4 to 41/2 inches and
prefer them to be keg-shod.  I use protective boots
while I train as well.  These simple guidelines have
kept my horses sound and free of tendon and
arthritis issues.  This also allows me to move up to
a lite-shod shoe if I want to step up my appearance
at a larger show.

Treating horses like partners instead of
investments makes horse showing a lot more
enjoyable.  Hope to see you at the barn some day
soon.
